GENERAL MANAGER

I am a lifelong resident of Wallaceburg and began my career with Oaks Retirement Village in the spring of 2016. I quickly progressed from front-line staff to Business Manager, took a brief hiatus to gain further experience in the retirement home sector, and ultimately returned to Oaks to leverage that experience in the role of General Manager.

My passion for elder care was cultivated through my experiences with my grandparents and great-grandmother, and it continues to inspire me to build meaningful connections with our residents, their families, and the community.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, our dog, and cats. I am eager to see what the next chapter holds for Oaks Retirement Village!

ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER

Megan Redpath

I’m a busy mom of three who moved from Alberta eight years ago and settled in St. Clair Township with my husband, our two dogs, and now two guinea pigs. I grew up deeply involved in assisted living, and that early experience has been a huge part of my journey at Oaks Retirement Village.

After serving as Business Manager from 2022–2025 along with a maternity leave and a brief adventure into long‑term care, I found my way back to the Oaks, where I truly feel at home. I love the residents, their families, the staff, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere.

I’m excited to reconnect with familiar faces and get to know new ones as I continue building my career in the retirement sector.

SALES & MARKETING MANAGER

Joanne Tan

I'm a sales, marketing and communications professional with a passion for building meaningful connections, trusted brands and positive customer experiences. My work combines the relationship-building side of sales with the creativity and strategy of marketing communications, from understanding people's needs to sharing stories that strengthen a brand and build trust.

Since joining Oaks Retirement Village, I've discovered how much I truly enjoy working with seniors and their families. I love hearing their stories, learning what matters most to them and helping them feel informed, supported and confident as they navigate an important life decision.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, travelling, cooking, trying different foods and relaxing with a good TV show. I'm grateful to do work that allows me to combine my love for people, storytelling, branding and community.

CARE SERVICES MANAGER

I have had the privilege of serving as the Care Services Manager at Oaks Retirement Village since its opening in 2014. Throughout my tenure, I have developed meaningful relationships with residents and their families, which have had a profound impact on my personal and professional life. These connections continually reaffirm why I chose nursing as a career and serve as a constant source of inspiration. Outside of work, I enjoy planning my next tropical vacation and spending quality time with my husband, children, and grandchildren.

LIFESTYLE MANAGER
Jillian Blair

I’m excited to step into my new role as Lifestyles Manager at Oaks Retirement Village. Oaks has been part of my life for five years, beginning as a server and later working as a PSW. These experiences allowed me to build meaningful relationships with residents, families and coworkers while developing a deep appreciation for our caring community.

I recently graduated from Brock University with a degree in Kinesiology, and this role supports my long-term goal of becoming an elementary school teacher. I enjoy creating activities that help people connect, learn and have fun.

My goal is to ensure every resident feels included, valued and excited to participate. I look forward to introducing meaningful programs that encourage friendship, laughter and lifelong learning.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, spending time with loved ones and my French Bulldog, Marf, and treating myself to an iced brown sugar latte.

DINING MANAGER
Tamara Verbeem

I’ve worked in culinary and hospitality for over 17 years, with experience in restaurants, retirement living and leadership. I’m passionate about creating great food, building strong teams and providing memorable dining experiences.

My goal is to create a dining program residents look forward to each day. Meals are about more than nutrition - they bring comfort, connection and quality of life. I look forward to listening to residents, introducing fresh ideas and maintaining high standards of food, service and hospitality.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mom to my daughter, Aubrey. I enjoy cooking, trying new recipes, travelling and spending time outdoors. I’m excited to learn our residents’ favourite meals and help make every dining experience special.
